Terms of service
The deal.
Effective: 29 May 2026 · Plain English version
1. Accepting these terms
By using Anvil HUD you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you're using Anvil HUD on behalf of a company or partnership, you're telling us you have authority to bind that entity to these terms.
2. What Anvil HUD is
Anvil HUD is a software service for pricing physical work, starting with 3D printing and expanding into other crafts. It calculates cost estimates and suggested prices based on inputs you provide. It's a tool. The prices it suggests are suggestions. Final pricing decisions are yours.
3. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account, including any cost or pricing decisions you make based on what Anvil HUD shows you.
- You agree the email and account info you give us is accurate and yours to use.
- Anvil HUD accounts are for individuals and small businesses; don't share an account across many people.
4. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Scrape or systematically extract data from the app beyond normal use.
- Resell the service or its outputs as your own product.
- Attack, probe, or interfere with the service or other users.
- Upload malicious files, illegal content, or content that violates someone's rights.
- Use Anvil HUD to commit fraud or evade tax obligations. The cost engine helps you price honestly. Please use it honestly.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Subscriptions and billing
- Free tier includes the cost engine, drop estimator, and up to 10 saved models, forever.
- Pro plans (Monthly, Yearly, Lifetime) unlock additional features. Prices are shown on the pricing page and pulled live from Stripe so what you see is what you pay.
- Price lock: we may raise prices for new members as we add features. If you're already subscribed, your rate stays the same for as long as your subscription stays active. Lifetime is a one-time payment, so it's never re-charged regardless.
- Auto-renewal: Monthly and Yearly plans renew automatically at the start of each period until you cancel. Lifetime is a single payment, no renewal.
- Cancellation: cancel any time through the Stripe Customer Portal (linked from the Billing page). When you cancel, Pro features stay live through the end of the period you already paid for, then your account flips back to Free. Your data stays intact.
- Taxes may apply depending on your jurisdiction and will be added at checkout if so. Stripe handles calculation.
6. Refunds
- Monthly plans: we'll refund the most recent month if you ask within 14 days of the charge.
- Yearly plans: we'll refund the full charge if you ask within 14 days of purchase. After 14 days, no prorated refund, but cancel any time to stop renewal.
- Lifetime plans: we'll refund within 30 days of purchase, no questions asked. After 30 days, you keep it. If you refund a founding lifetime spot, it returns to the pool for someone else.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Email hello@anvilhud.com to request one.
7. Your content
You own what you put into Anvil HUD: your machines and tooling, materials, shop fee profiles, catalog of products, jobs log, and the file metadata you save. We don't claim any rights to it. We only use it to run the service for you.
You give us a limited license to store, display, and process your content as needed to operate Anvil HUD. That license ends when you delete the content or your account.
8. Our content
The Anvil HUD software, brand, design, documentation, and underlying engine belong to Them 3D Print Guys. You can use the service as a customer; you can't copy, reverse-engineer, rebrand, or sublicense it.
9. No warranty on price suggestions
Anvil HUD provides cost calculations and suggested prices based on the inputs you give it. We try to make the math correct (see The Math, where every step is published). But the outputs are tools for your decision-making, not financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. You're responsible for your prices, your margins, your tax filings, and your business decisions.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties (express, implied, statutory), including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We're not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages (including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption), even if we knew they were possible.
- Our total liability to you for any claim related to Anvil HUD won't exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of the above may not apply to you. The rest still does.
11. Termination
You can stop using Anvil HUD any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, or if we wind down the service. If we terminate you for reasons other than your breach, we'll refund any unused portion of your prepaid period.
12. Changes
We can change these terms over time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and email signed-up users. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.
14. Contact
